Placerville? Yes. Can you believe it? I was beyond honored to be asked to do a newborn shoot for this couple. A wonderful family member had mentioned my name when she found out her boss was having a grandchild. They made contact with me to get my information but I thought surely they would not want to travel nearly 2 hours with a newborn baby and I was willing to give them names of photographers closer to them that I think are fantastic. I was quite flattered when they insisted on having me capture their images.
I cannot say enough how much it truly means to me to be asked to capture this amazing time for families. I know that I am not just taking pictures. I am being asked to stop time. To memorialize this moment and all of it’s emotion. When I am asked to capture this time by anyone I am grateful, but when someone travels such a distance I know that they must see in my work what I intended and that means more to me than I can express.
