This little man was so small (and early) by the time he came to me he was almost 4 weeks young. He was still so tiny and just over 5 lbs. He must have really wanted to stay in that womb because he barely made a peep sleeping through every position and prop I could get my hands on! What a dream he was to work with. They say dynamite comes in small packages. This little miracle is going to do big things!
I got a phone call from an old friend / co worker that she was expecting a Grand baby and wanted me to capture him when he arrived. I hadn’t seen the two of them in years. I am so thankful she found me while searching for a photographer. The things that can bring old friends back together! This session lasted a bit longer than usual of course since after his camera debut we all just sat and caught up. I am so happy I was able to capture this time. It’s a pretty crazy feeling to know someone when they are younger and then hold their newborn child. Congratulations to you! And thank you again so much for allowing me to capture this time for you. I look forward to watching him grow and keeping in touch!
Twins are almost always early. So they spend a little time in the hospital before coming to see me. These two were photographed before they were even scheduled to come out! I find little things like that amazing. Each weighing under 5 lbs, together they make up the weight of just one of my single babies!
Big brother (who is actually smaller than little sister) smiled almost every time I picked up the camera. One image I swear I even heard him giggle he may have been trying to tickle his sister. You can’t tell by looking at her though, she was as calm and peaceful as could be no matter how much brother tried to get her to laugh. I am always so thankful and honored to be asked to photograph this early time for families. Thank you and congratulations!
I did not have the pleasure of capturing this little beauty when she was newly born. In fact her mom was telling me what a hectic time it was and how she wasn’t able to have newborn photos taken. So it was really important to her to get this 6 month milestone session in. During the session baby girl started getting tired and needed a feeding break. Wouldn’t you know it, she fell asleep. I have never had a baby fall asleep during a milestone session. So I took advantage of the opportunity to get a few newborn poses in. It was pretty funny the difference between posing a sleeping, 6 pound, weakly newborn and a 6 month baby weighing more than twice that, who really doesn’t like being “posed” while trying to get some z’s in! 6 days or 6 months, there is nothing more precious than a sleeping baby.
Thank you for letting me capture your beautiful baby girl. I hope to see her again in 6 short months.
I Love love love when I get to see a newborn I photographed come back to the studio. This big sister had her newborn debut with SWP 4 years ago! I am so honored that Mom and Dad asked me to photograph their newest addition all this time later! Sometimes I like to use the same props with siblings to compare size and features, mom wanted to make sure baby sister got the same experience all together that her oldest sister got! All the way down to the display which will go on it’s own wall directly across from her Sister’s. I love it!
