This sweet little princess is so photogenic! I was so honored to photograph her when she was newly born. Today is her one year birthday. I can imagine it has been a year full of smiles, love, and tiaras!
Happy Birthday to you and your family 😉

I’m a little tied up right now, maybe later!
Ah New Years Day! There is something so magical about it. The birth of a new year represents hope. Some hope that this year is everything last year was, or for some everything last year wasn’t. New Year’s Day is a beginning, a second chance. I’ve never been one for resolutions. I’ve always felt they were more like rain clouds than encouragement. Like the resolution to lose weight or to declutter closets. The fact that I announce the resolution just gave me this negative feeling, this pressure that if I were unable to attain the goal that I was more of a failure than if I had just quietly made the decision alone. Then it hit me, the definition of resolution is in fact, “A decision! The act, determining upon an action or course of action.”
To put it plainly a resolution without action is merely a wish and most everyone who’s ever blown out a birthday candle or closed your eyes before scratching off a lottery ticket can attest that wishes hardly come true. One of my favorite quotes is, “One good wish changes nothing, One good decision changes everything.” Don’t get me wrong I throw pennies into wishing wells, I hope, I dream, and I have faith. But this New Year instead of wishes I am making decisions.
This New Year’s Day attitude is so refreshing that I’ve made my first decision of 2014 to celebrate the beginning of each season so that this New year’s feeling comes 4 times a year instead of just once! Every three months I can evaluate my decisions, be reminded that it’s a new day to start again, and make new ones to act upon. You can join me. If you haven’t already ordered your SWP 2014 calendar you should do it now! The beginning of each season is marked and we can resolve together! 🙂
Newborn photography is all about beginnings. I look forward to sharing beginnings with my 2014 clients, capturing milestones for my past clients, and announcing new business decisions throughout the year! Thank you so much for your continued support and encouragement.
May all your 2014 decisions bring you happiness! Cheers to new beginnings all year long!
I just love Christmas babies (I am one myself!) This year you will be able to walk over to the Christmas tree to see what Santa has left for you. I hope he is twice as nice in honor of your special day today!
Happy First Birthday to you!
Happy First Birthday Baby Girl! Enjoy your special day!
